A Six-Hour Journey
Your journey lasts approximately six hours. Céleste ascends gently for around 90 minutes, spends three hours in the stratosphere and then returns to Earth during a gradual 90-minute descent. With only four guests aboard, the experience is intimate, calm and deeply personal.

Your experience begins at Zephalto’s spaceport in Occitanie, France. After preparation and boarding, the capsule rises at about four metres per second—slowly enough to absorb the changing landscape and expanding horizon throughout the ascent.

Céleste offers seven square metres of refined interior space and wide-angle windows designed to reveal Earth from an entirely new perspective. At 25 km, you will spend three hours contemplating the planet’s curvature, the thin blue atmosphere and the darkness of space—the setting for the profound Overview Effect described by astronauts.
Welcome to the edge of Space
Your ascent begins in silence aboard Céleste. At 25 km—above 98% of Earth’s atmosphere—you can see the curvature of the planet, the stars beyond and the fragile blue layer that protects life below. The entire experience lasts approximately six hours.

Céleste is designed for just four guests in a purely minimalist setting shaped by French refinement. Its seven-square-metre cabin and exceptionally wide windows create an exclusive, personalised environment in which the view—and your connection with Earth—takes centre stage.

At the edge of space, the capsule’s wide-angle windows reveal a panorama of up to 1,400 km. Zephalto also works with the French space agency CNES and the Occitanie region, enabling each crewed journey to support research into the atmosphere, climate and Earth observation.
The Descent
After three hours in the stratosphere, Céleste begins a gradual descent lasting around 90 minutes. After landing, guests are welcomed back to Earth and join Zephalto’s community of stratospheric travellers.
Mission Complete
Returning from 25 km above Earth, you will have experienced a perspective once reserved for astronauts. Zephalto describes the journey as a low-carbon route to the stratosphere, with approximately 26.6 kg of CO₂ emitted per passenger per flight.
The flight is designed to be more than sightseeing: it is an opportunity to experience the Overview Effect, reflect on the fragility of our atmosphere and become part of a pioneering community of stratospheric travellers.
